Lake Powell 2008
We all had a great time on this trip. Five days on Lake Powell with buddies from all over the country. Thanks again to Zeke Berresford “The Skipper” for putting this trip together.

Antelope Canyon
Antelope Canyon is just a few miles outside of Page, AZ. It is a slot canyon, and is only accessible through guided tours. The ride over is quite interesting through loose sand, and the sights from within the canyon are quite spectacular.

On the Lake
Ah, finally into our houseboat and onto the lake. Its a very relaxing experience moving along with a bunch of your friends through all this fantastic scenery.

Balanced Rock Canyon
Balanced Rock canyon is just a little ways up from Dangling Rope marina. It was a great place to tie up for a couple of days, although getting the boat secured turned out to be somewhat interesting.

Cascade Canyon
Cascade canyon is a slot canyon that is perfect to explore for a few hours on a kayak. The views are stunning, and vertical walls go straight up all around. The photos here were taken as dusk, when the water was glassy smooth.

At Night
I was playing with the camera after it got quite dark. The white streaks are formed when someone walks by with a flashlight over a long time exposure. Photos here are longish time exposures and came straight out of the camera. I was amazed at some of the detail I got just from the light of the moon that night

Coming Home
After four full days on the lake it was time to drive back to Page, AZ. It was our last chance to see scenery like this. Well, until next time.
